Shear Joy Alpacas is located on 250 acres bordering the Caney fork River on the Cumberland Plateau between Sparta and Crossville, Tennessee.  We traveled extensively throughout the U.S., visiting farms and learning all we could about alpacas.  We selected several of the finest Huacayas available to build our herd.  Currently we have over 20 Huacayas in various colors.  We strive for consistency of fiber and bloodlines, which is acknowledged by our many awards.

Visitors are always welcome.  We will gladly give you a tour of our facilities and show you our award winning herd.  Give us a call and we will give you easy directions.  Learn about alpacas, herd management, barns and fences, and animal training.  We're available to answer questions before and after a sale.  Count on our support.  We expect to develop an ongoing relationship with alpaca lovers, whether you want to learn about alpacas, start your own herd, or add new bloodlines to your existing herd.  If we can't find the right animal for you we will help you find it somewhere else.
